Back in April 2009, I decided to spruce up my urban balcony by planting a few seeds in pots. The rest, as they say is history. One year on and the London Vegetable Garden is a thriving blog, the London Gardeners’ Network has been born, we’ve been in the press numerous times and developed a cult Social Media following.
Keen to grow my own organic produce, yet frustrated by the lack of a garden, I turned my tiny London balcony into an ambitious gardening project. The London Vegetable Garden became home to this organic odyssey, keeping the world updated with my progress and examining urban gardening issues in the process.
One year on, and the London Vegetable Garden has now grown to include a small part of allotment in south-west London, and remains committed to sharing vegetable-growing knowledge and examining urban gardening issues in general.
